★EU policy on milk industry★

Actually,I'm don't know much about the EU policies, so I find some informations of EU policy that more close to our life.
I see a reportage about EU policy on milk industry, heading: 'EU commissions report on milk industry'
It's about the EU agricultual policy raise the quotas of milk production, make the EU dairy market supply exceeds the demand, and then, Members of the European Union has set up a panel to draft plan with this problem.
The purpose of the plan is to investigate the future development of the European dairy industry and set a standard for it, so as to restore and stabilize the EU milk, dairy industry and marke supply.
Milk products expenditure is account for a large percentage of our daily expenses.
For example, I spend at least ten pounds to buy milk, butter and cheese per week.
Thus, I'm concerned about the pricing of milk products.
I hope that the prices of milk will not be risen while i'm in UK. Hoho..

★Differences of 4 nations of Britain★

I had known a lot of the differences of 4 nations of Britain today.
Firstly, I can indentify the NATIONAL FLAGS of the four nations.
This is the national flag of England, named St. George’s Cross with a red cross on a white background.

This is the national flag of Wales, named Dragon of Cadwallader with a Welsh dragon on the flag.

This is the national flag of Scotland, named St. Andrew Cross with a diagonal white cross on a blue background.

And this is the national flag of Northern Ireland, named St Patrick's Cross with a diagonal red cross on a white background.

Then, I also known that Shamrock is the NATIONAL EMBLEM of Ireland, the Thistle belongs to Scotland, the Leek and Daffodil are the national emblems of Wales, and the Rose is belongs to both England and Ireland.I've pasted some pictures about them. Here we go ~

Shamrock, this is the National Emblem of Ireland.
I've heard something interesting about this plant, if people can find it with four leaves (named 'cover'), then, they will have a good luck.

Thistle, this is the National Emblem of Scotland.

Leek and Daffodil both are the National Emblem of Wales.

Daffodil

Rose, this is the National Emblem both of England and Ireland.

Lastly, the SAINT'S DAY of the England is 23rd April, Wales is 1st March, Scotland is 30th Novem and Ireland is 17th March. The PATRON SAINT of England is St. George, Wales is St. David, Scotland is St. Andrew, Republic of Ireland is St. Patrick. And the COMMON NAMES of England is Smith, Wales is Davis, Evans, Jones, Lloyd, Scotland is Mac or Mc, Ireland is Mac ore Mc also.

★Love Story of Queen Victoria★

Queen Victoria

I'm very interested in the love story between Queen Victoria and Prince Albert after Emma introduced her.
She showed us the pictures of Queen Victoria and said 'She always looks unhappy on the pictures' because of her hasbund's death. I thought it would be a romantic story.
But I was wonder at Prince Albert actually was Queen Victoria's Cousin.
It is unable to get married with the relative in China.
Anyway, this made me gain more interest in thier story.

Queen Victoria and her family

Prince Albert and Victoria was meet at London in 1839.They fell in love immediately with each other.
Then they married in February 1840.At first Prince Albert was not welcome in the counrty, only because he was German. But he proved his honest of England to the people then Victoria loved him more and more and she came to depend on his views on politics and diplomacy.
Unfortunately, Prince Albert died in 1861 and Victoria was very sad for that. She did not show her face in the public for 3 years. After that, she came out finally but always wear in black of her late husband. She had broken her heart with this terrible event. I think that's the reason why her pictures always looks sadness.

★Hello :)★

Hello...This is my 1st time to use 'BLOGGER'. It's similar with the '163BLOG' which I’m using. Anyway congratulate that my new blog to be born :)

I’ve been Britain was almost two weeks, and everything here is very fresh and interesting. The weather in Wales is quiet different from what I’ve imagined before I came. Many people told me that it often rains here, and they let me take a good umbrella and windbreaker, but I came here for two weeks was almost sunny days. This gives me a nice mood.

Courses here and courses in China are quite different also. I think I need to try my best to adapt to the ‘British way’ of education. And we’ve learned a lot things of Britain this afternoon with Emma.

We known that the population of the United Kingdom, the capitals of different countries of UK, the 2 main political parties in UK, ect...There're some interesting colloquial words that I’ve never see them before, like 'a quid' means £1, 'a kip' means a short sleep and 'a cuppa' means a cup of tea! It makes me have a great interest in the Britain Culture, I will find more interesting things of here in the coming days, please look forward… : )
